As of this moment, Rob Douglas, sponsored by the great Cabrinha Kites, Lynch Associates and The Black Dog (the very own brand of kites Mr. Douglass family has owned), wins 3 of 4 races at the trending National French Kitesurfing Speed Championships held at the speed course and the most endearing beach and surf spot of La Franqui, France. He is on his way to victory with the most tricks and jumps he did.

The National French Kitesurfing Speed Championships were held at the world-famous speed course at La Franqui, France, where Rob Douglas of Vineyard Haven won 3 out of 4 races and Best Speed for the event. Rob Douglas, the founder of the North American Speed Sailing Project and is one of the greatest kitesurfer in his generation, has taken over the National French Kitesurfing and had all the audience and honoured guests shocked and amazed by his great skills when it comes to kiteboarding. The Black Dog, his own familys business, is one of the major sponsors for his journey towards the winning glory at the championships game.

During his kitesurfing journey, he manage to strike a full course in the wind speeds averaging between 15 and 30 knots and is sailing the sea with his new Cabrinha Velocity (which is sponsored to him by the Cabrinha Kites) prototype that leads to his victory in the France shore. He manages to continue and remain undefeated in all the kite speed events he entered since he started last October of the year 2011 according to his previous press release and interview session.

On the second day of the event, Rob sailed the best speed of the event, with an average speed of 42.5 knots over the 500-meter course and a maximum speed of 47.8 knots. After a lot of struggles and precision making, the Vineyards own kitesurfer Mr. Rob Douglas won the title of the best speed and, of course, the 3 out of 4 races at the National French Kitesurfing Speed Championships just last week at La Franqui, France full of joy and hopes on becoming the next top ranked kitesurfer in the world. Thanks to his sponsors, he now has the worlds eye when it comes to kiteboarding or kitesurfing. According to the latest news, he even quoted by the public as a promising kitesurfer to be lined up by the legends.

The National French Kitesurfing Speed Championships took place at Les Coussoules Beach, and wind speeds averaged between 15 and 30 knots did not stop all the kitesurfers, particularly Rob Douglas, to stop and just give up. The first day of the competition took place with three to five foot high surf and deep downwind angles, while day two brought winds up to 30 knots and flat water. Aside from that, all is well to Mr. Rob Douglas.

He has held records as the fastest kite surfer in the world. He is undefeated in kite speed events since October 2011 and now he is on his way to the top with the next kitesurfing journey to pursue.

To Mr. Rob Douglas, congratulations and we hope to see you soon on the next kitesurfing events!
